The Toba City has four island, including the Kamishima, a small island which was the stage of the story ""Shiosai""written by a famous writer Yukio Mishima. The other three islands are Toshijima, Sugashima and Sakatejima. Approximately 3,500, people live in these islands in close association with the sea.
